Virginia Housing Accessibility Grants


We administer grants up to $8,000 to foster independence and provide assistance for those in need of barrier-free housing. These are true grants, so no repayment is ever needed:

 


Typical modifications include but are not limited to:

  • Installing ramps and chairlifts
  • Installing remote entry devices
  • Modifying bathrooms and kitchens
  • Widening of doorways and sidewalks

Applications must be completed through accepted agents.
